It is used for testing 40mm x 40mm x 160mm mortar specimens for flexural strength. (Rilem Cembureau Test) by single point loading.

Specification : It is motorised, Mechanical unit. The speed is adjusted so that the load increase on the specimen is between 4 to 6 kg/sec. A flexural test attachment for keeping the specimen in position is also supplied. This consists of two rollers 10mm. Diameter and spaced 100mm apart and a third roller of the same diameter equidistance from the first two and for transmitting the applied load to the opposite face of the prism. The unit is for operation on 230 volts, Single Phase, and 50 Cycles A.C. supply. Load are measured on a proving ring fitted with a sensitive dial gauge. Supplied without Proving Ring.

The Flexure Strength Testing are designed to test flexural strength of concrete beams. The design provide maximum rigidity throughout their working range. The load is applied by the downward movement of the piston. A spacer is for testing different size of beams. The load is indicated on a calibrated bourdon tube type load gauge of range: 0 - 100 kN x 0.5 kN (0- 1O,000 kgf x 50 kgf). The load gauge is calibrated against National Council for Cement and Building Materials Certified Proving Ring.
